Description

Equra cream (Urea 10%) is designed for Ichthyosis and dry skin conditions, Management of eczemas and Management of psoriasis (a skin disease that causes a rash with itchy, scaly patches, most commonly on the knees, elbows, trunk and scalp). How it works
Equra cream is bacteriostatic (Capable of inhibiting the growth or reproduction of bacteria), bactericidal (Kills the bacteria) and has mild anaesthetic. These actions happen to be dose dependent. Most of its therapeutic applications depend on its hygroscopic properties (A property of materials and substances that causes them to attract and hold water molecules from their environment).
Dosage & Administration
Equra cream is applied topically. Wash affected areas well, rinse off all traces of soap, dry and apply sparingly twice daily. Occlusive dressings may be used, but are usually unnecessary.
It can be used in all age groups.
Interaction
No hazardous drug interaction has been reported.
