Description
Claritine 10mg tabs is an average over-the-counter medicine that helps reduce your allergy symptoms by blocking the effects of a substance called “histamine”, which is produced in the body when you are allergic to something.
Active Substance: Loratadine.
Posology and method of administration:
Oral use. The tablet can be taken with or without food. Adults: One tablet once a day. Paediatric population: Children aged 6 years and over with a body weight of more than 30 kg: one tablet once a day. For an adequate dosage in children under 6 years of age or with body weight equal to or less than 30 kg, there are other more suitable formulations. Children under the age of 2 years: The safety and efficacy of Claritine have not been established. No data available. In patients with severe hepatic impairment, a lower starting dose should be given as the clearance of loratadine may be reduced. It is recommended to administer an initial dose of 10 mg every other day in adults and children weighing more than 30 kg. Patients with renal impairment, no dose adjustment is necessary in patients with renal impairment. Elderly: It is not necessary to make dose adjustments in the elderly.
