Description
Ascoril Expectorant 200ML contains Bromhexine, Guaifenesin, Menthol and Terbutaline as active ingredients. It is indicated for symptomatic relief of productive cough associated w/ resp disorders e.g, acute bronchitis, acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis, pneumonia & asthmatic bronchitis. Ascoril Expectorant works by increasing the viscid or excessive mucus in respiratory tract thus making phlegm thinner; temporarily relieving minor pain; relaxing and opening the airways; reducing the phlegm in the air passages.
How to use
Adults and Children over 12 years: 10 mL (2 teaspoons) three times a day.
Children from 6 to 12 years: 5 mL (1 teaspoon) three times a day.
Children from 2 to 5 years: 2.5 mL (1/2 teaspoon) three times a day.
Not recommended in children below 2 years.
Precautions while using Ascoril Expectorant 200ml
Contraindications: -Hypersensitivity. Salbutamol: Uncomplicated premature labour or threatened abortion. Lactation. Salbutamol & bromhexine: Pregnancy. Salbutamol: Do not use as main or only treatment for severe unstable asthma. Reassess patient if usual relief or duration of action is reduced. May cause myocardial ischaemia.
