Description
Amino XL tabs 30s consist of:
Amino Acids
-
- Amino acids are widely considered to be subcomponents in nutritional support.
- They consist of nitrogen compounds from which protein is based.
- Proteins and amino acids are fundamental to recovery and survival, not only for their ability to preserve active tissue (protein) mass but also for a variety of other cellular functions.
- Although the body adapts in some ways to starvation, metabolic stress in patients causes increased protein turnover and therefore amino acid supplement is necessary.
- Importance: The human body does not produce amino acids by itself in most cases and therefore, they must be taken by the body to maintain normal healthy tissues.
Pharmacokinetics:
- Completely and rapidly absorbed from the GI tract upon oral administration and dissolves completely into the serum, however, the excess amount is burnt to produce energy for instant use or deposited as fat. The nitrogen part of amino acids is converted into urea and excreted via the renal route.
